Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack will undergo season-ending foot surgery, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported. The Bears will place him on injured reserve.

Mack, 30, first appeared on the injury report in Week 4, but played through it. His last game was a 38-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. Until this season, the only games he missed as a pro were two in 2018.
The hope was he would return after the team’s Week 10 bye, which is why he reportedly was not put on injured reserve earlier in the season. Players on IR must sit at a minimum of three games.
Not many updates were given about his status outside of his status as did not practice on the injury report. Mack’s season ends with six sacks, six tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits and a fumble recovery.
