Georges St-Pierre no longer holds the belt as middleweight champion of the UFC, a source told Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com.

St-Pierre chose to vacate his title less than a week after the UFC’s Dana White announced that ‘Rush’ was sidelined indefinitely due to colitis.

The fight for the rights to the belt will occur on Feb. 11 between Robert Whittaker and Luke Rockhold at UFC 221.

St-Pierre recently returned from a four-year hiatus and defeated Michael Bisping at UFC 217 where he attained the middleweight belt to begin with.
