The Vancouver Whitecaps now own the top seed in the Western Conference after shutting out Minnesota United 3-0 at BC Place on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Yordy Reyna, Erik Hurtado and Brek Shea.

The victory extends Vancouver’s unbeaten streak to five games. The Whitecaps are also riding a three-game winning run for the first time this season.

The Whitecaps will enter the weekend as the No. 1 team in the West via the wins tiebreaker over the Seattle Sounders. Vancouver has seven games left to play in the regular season.
